A machine (1) for continuously laying a track (7) composed of rails (5) and sleepers (6) includes a machine frame (2) consisting of two frame parts (3,4) arranged one following the other in the longitudinal direction of the machine during working operation and connected to one another by means of an articulation (9) and supported on on-track undercarriages (10). The second frame part (4), which is positioned above the first frame part (3) in the area of the articulation (9), is designed to be displaceable relative to the said first frame part in the longitudinal direction of the machine and is equipped with an off-track undercarriage (13) at the free end (12) spaced farther from the articulation (9). A sleeper transport arrangement (17) for continuously transporting sleepers (6) in the longitudinal direction of the machine is also provided, the sleeper transport arrangement comprising a crane vehicle (18) mobile on the first frame part (3) by means of a rail track (23). The articulation (9) is designed to be separable, and an auxiliary on-track undercarriage (34), vertically adjustable by means of a drive (38) and able to roll on the rail track (23) of the first frame part (3), is associated with the second frame part (4) in the region of the articulation (9).
