The invention provides a method of making a magnetic regenerator (4) for an active magnetic refrigerator, the method comprising: forming a magnetic regenerator from a slurry (20) or a paste (20) containing a magnetocaloric material the magnetic regenerator (4) being formed to have plural paths (44) therethrough for the flow of a heat transfer fluid; and varying the composition of the magnetocaloric material so that the magnetic transition temperature of the magnetic regenerator varies along the paths (44).
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un régénérateur magnétique (4) destiné à un réfrigérateur magnétique actif, consistant à former un régénérateur magnétique à partir d'une suspension ou pâte (20) contenant un matériau magnétocalorique, le régénérateur magnétique (4) étant formé de manière à présenter plusieurs voies (44) destinées à l'écoulement d'un fluide de transfert thermique ; et à modifier la composition du matériau magnétocalorique de telle manière que la température de transition magnétique du régénérateur magnétique varie le long des voies (44).
