The present invention relates to a medicament container for storing a liquid medicament, such as insulin, the container comprising a distal and a proximal end portion and a wall, at least two opposite portions of the wall being of a polymer material. The thickness of the polymer wall portions is between 0.3 mm and 3 mm, and the light transmission through the polymer wall portions at 400 nm are at least 25 %. The polymer wall portions are of a material comprising at least 70 % by weight of a copolymer material composed of aliphatic cyclic or bicyclic hydrocarbons with 5 to 7 membered ring or rings and ethylene or propylene, the material having a glass transition temperature above 50 ~C, and a density of 0.95 g/cm3 or more. The container of the polymer material is substantially inert to the medicament, and furthermore, the container is transparent, whereby it is possible visually to inspect the content of the container to make sure that the medicament is not crystallised or polymerised. Furthermore, the walls of the container provide a good barrier against m- cresol/phenol/benzyl alcohol preservatives and water, respectively. The invention also relates to the use of such medicament container, and a medicament container at least partly filled with medicament.
L'invention concerne un récipient de médicament destiné au stockage d'un médicament liquide comme l'insuline, présentant des extrémités distale et proximale ainsi qu'une paroi, au moins deux parties opposées de la paroi étant en polymère. L'épaisseur des parties de paroi en polymère oscille entre 0,3 et 3 mm, et la transmission de la lumière dans lesdites parties à 400 nm est d'au moins 25 %. Ces parties de paroi en polymère sont constituées d'une matière comprenant au moins, en poids, 70 % de copolymère à base d'hydrocarbures aliphatiques cycliques ou bicycliques, avec un ou plusieurs cycles à 5 à 7 chaînons, et à base d'éthylène ou de propylène, la matière ayant une température de transition vitreuse supérieure à 50 ·C et une densité égale ou supérieure à 0,95 g/cm?3¿. Le récipient en polymère est sensiblement inerte par rapport au médicament, et il est transparent, ce qui permet de contrôler visuellement le contenu pour vérifier qu'il n'y a ni cristallisation ni polymérisation du médicament. Les parois sont une barrière efficace contre les conservateurs à l'alcool de type m-crésol/phénol/benzylique et l'eau, respectivement. L'invention concerne aussi l'utilisation du récipient et, enfin, le récipient considéré au moins rempli en partie avec un médicament.
