A holding member (60) for holding a horizontal wear plate (14) in position on a rotor for a vertical shaft impact crusher is disclosed. The holding member (60) comprises a holding part (68) for holding the wear plate (14) and a fixing means (86) for releasably fixing the holding member (60) to a vertical wall segment of said rotor such that the wear plate (14) bears against a first side (76) of said wall segment.
