The present invention relates to a method for determining the quality of plant material by making chlorophyll fluorescence images of said material by scanning the material with a beam of electromagnetic radiation so that the chlorophyll present is excitated, and measuring the chlorophyll fluorescence with an imaging detector. From the fluorescence images obtained with a fast and a slow scan, the image of the quantum efficiency of the photosynthetic system of the plant material is calculated. The invention further relates to a device for measuring the chlorophyll fluorescence images and to a method and devices for sorting and classifying plant material.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de déterminer la qualité de matière végétale par la fabrication d'images fluorescentes de chlorophylle de ladite matière grâce au scannage des matières au moyen d'un faisceau de rayons électromagnétiques de manière à exciter la chlorophylle présente, et à la mesure de la fluorescence de la chlorophylle au moyen d'un détecteur d'imagerie. Ces images fluorescentes obtenues au moyen d'un scannage rapide et lent permettent de calculer l'image de l'efficacité quantique du système photosynthétique de matière végétale. Cette invention porte aussi sur un dispositif de mesure des images fluorescentes de chlorophylle et sur un procédé de triage et de classification de matière végétale.
