The present invention relates to a classifying fluid bed granulator, comprising a granulation chamber with a fluidizing air chamber (7) with a bed floor (10), a ceiling (3c), an end wall (3d), a feed inlet (5), a seed inlet (6), an outlet (4) defined by walls (3a, 3b) for air, and an outlet (9) for produced granules. The granulation chamber is divided into an agglomeration and seed control section (1) and a granulation and classification section (2) where said section (2) is divided into two or more consecutive compartments having an asymmetric design. Section (2) may contain tilted baffle plates (12). Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for fluid bed granulation of a feed being a solution, slurry, melt, emulsion, suspension or solids into granules of a desired classified size. Inlet seed particles are given a controlled size in an agglomeration and seed section ahead of being granulated with the feed in a granulation and classification section. The classification of the granules is performed in asymmetric compartments in the granulation and classification section.
La présente invention concerne un granulateur à lit fluidisé de criblage, comportant une chambre de granulation pourvue d'une chambre d'air de fluidisation (7) avec un étage à lit (10), un plafond (3c), une paroi d'extrémité (3d), une entrée d'alimentation (5), une entrée de graines (6), une sortie (4) d'air définie par des parois (3a, 3b), et une sortie (9) pour les granules produites. La chambre de granulation est séparée en deux partie: une partie d'agglomération et de contrôle de graines (1) et une partie de granulation et de criblage (2) laquelle (2) est séparée en deux ou plusieurs compartiments successifs de conception asymétrique. La seconde partie (2) peut contenir des plaques à chicanes inclinées (12). De plus, cette invention concerne un procédé de granulation à lit fluidisé d'une alimentation sous forme de solution, coulis, mélange, émulsion, suspension ou solides, permettant d'obtenir des granules criblés selon les tailles recherchées. Les particules de graines entrantes sont calibrées dans une partie d'agglomération et de graines avant d'être granulées avec l'alimentation dans une partie de granulation et de criblage. La classification des granules s'effectue dans des compartiments asymétriques dans de la partie de granulation et de criblage.
