The invention relates to a method and device for recovery of energy from a medium containing combustible substances even at low concentrations. The method is characterized by raising the temperature of the medium in a regenerative combustor (8), i.e. a reversal flow direction combustion device wherein the combustion takes place in a warm zone, to the combustion temperature at which essentially all chemical energy of the combustible substances is transformed into thermal energy. The heated medium is then utilized for the production of a wanted form of energy.

Procédé et dispositif de récupération d'énergie dans un milieu contenant des substances combustibles même à de faibles concentrations. Le procédé se caractérise par une élévation de la température du milieu dans un brûleur à récupération (8), c'est-à-dire un dispositif de combustion à sens de flux inversé dans lequel la combustion s'effectue dans une zone tiède, sous une température de combustion où pratiquement la totalité de l'énergie chimique des substances combustibles est transformée en énergie thermique. Le milieu chauffé est ensuite utilisé pour la production de la forme souhaitée d'énergie.
