In a method for use in coilable tubing operations, such as onshore and offshore drilling for oil/gas, a coilable tubing (34) is used. The coilable tubing (34) is coiled up on a drum (36) and uncoiled therefrom by means of a feed-in and feed-out injector (32), said drum (36) being rotatable about its own axis. In order to enable rotation of the coilable tubing (34) within the well such that the angled transition piece carrying the bit is rotated to take the correct orientation, in order to enable drilling along a predetermined path without having to use a downhole orientation tool, the coilable tubing (34) is put into rotational movements during forwardly feeding thereof. To this end, the drum (36) and the underlying injector (32) may be placed on a rotary table (30) having a vertical rotational axis (A-A) aligned with the vertical symmetry axis of an underlying blowout preventer (28). The drum (36) for the coilable tubing (34) is, preferably, eccentrically positioned on the rotary table (30). The rotating forwardly feeding movements of the coilable tubing (34) also result in very considerable friction reductions within the bore hole, resulting in an increased weight load on the bit and, thus, increased drilling rate, as well as a longer horizontal hole length.

Procédé mis en application dans des opérations effectuées avec un tube de production pouvant être enroulé, telles que des opérations de forage à terre et en mer de pétrole et de gaz, pour lesquelles on utilise ce type de tube de production (34). Ce tube de production (34) est enroulé sur un tambour (36) et déroulé au moyen d'un injecteur de chargement et de déchargement (32), ledit tambour (36) pouvant effectuer une rotation sur son axe. Dans le but de permettre au tube de production (34) de tourner à l'intérieur du puits, de manière à mettre en rotation la pièce de transition inclinée portant le trépan, afin de pouvoir effectuer le forage le long d'une trajectoire prédéterminée sans utiliser d'outil d'orientation en fond de trou, on imprime au tube de production (34) des déplacements rotatifs pendant sa progression vers l'avant. On peut, à cet effet, placer le tambour (36) et l'injecteur (32) placé sous le tambour sur une table rotative (30) dont l'axe vertical de rotation (A-A) est aligné sur l'axe vertical de symétrie d'un dispositif de sécurité (28) placé en position inférieure. Le tambour (36) permettant d'enrouler le tube de production (34) est, de préférence, positionné de façon excentrique sur la table rotative (30). Les déplacements rotatifs de progression vers l'avant du tube de production (34) permettent également de limiter considérablement la friction à l'intérieur du trou de sondage, ce qui provoque une augmentation de la charge pesant sur le trépan et, par conséquent, de la vitesse de forage et prolonge la longueur du trou horizontal.
