Present invention relates to a method of producing aluminium in an Hall- Héroult cell with prebaked anodes, as well as anodes for same. The anodes are provided with slots in its wear (bottom) surface for gas drainage. The slots are 2-8 millimetres wide, preferably 3 millimetres.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire de l'aluminium dans une cellule de Hall-Héroult au moyen d'anodes précuites, ainsi que des anodes pour réaliser ce procédé. Ces anodes sont dotées de fentes dans leur surface d'usure (fond) pour le drainage du gaz, ces fentes ayant 2-8 millimètres et de préférence 3 millimètres de largeur.
