A system for processing printed products includes a transfer station (1) which is provided with an infeeding location (2) for infeeding printed products to the transfer station from a delivery station. The transfer station further comprises a number of connecting location and a removal location. To each of the connecting locations is connected a processing station. An output station is connected to the removal location. The transfer station is further provided with a transporting device for moving the printed products within the transfe device between the infeeding location, the various connecting locations and the removal location. The printed product infed to the transfer station at the infeeding location is transported in any sequence from the transfer station to one of the processing stations. Afte completion of the processing operation in a particular processing station, the printed product is moved back to the transfer station. Th finished printed products are removed from the transfer station at the removal location.

L'invention concerne un système de traitement de produits imprimés comprenant une station de transfert pourvue d'un point d'amenée par l'intermédiaire duquel des produits imprimés sont amenés d'une station de distribution à la station de transfert. La station de transfert comporte également un certain nombre de points de liaison et un point de retrait. Une station de traitement est reliée à chacun des points de liaison. Une station de sortie est reliée au point de retrait. La station de transfert est également équipée d'un dispositif de transport servant à déplacer les produits à l'intérieur du dispositif de transfert entre le point d'amenée, les différents points de liaison et le point de retrait. Le produit imprimé amené à la station de transfert au niveau du point d'amenée est transporté dans n'importe quel ordre de la station de transfert à une des stations de traitement. Une fois l'opération de traitement terminée dans une station de traitement spécifique, le produit imprimé est ramené à la station de transfert. Les produits imprimés finis sont retirés de la station de transfert au point de retrait.
