The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for providing a given volume of a test substance (H2) in a monitoring line (2) which is filled with a test medium (e. g. air) and is provided along a section for determining concentration profiles. For the purpose of transporting a column of test medium through the monitoring line (2), the pressure (p) in the monitoring line (2) is increased by switching on a pressure pump or, for the same purpose - in an alternative embodiment - is reduced by switching on a suction pump (12). A given metering volume of the test substance (H2) is automatically released in the monitoring line (2) when a given limit for the pressure (p) is passed. The release of the given metering volume of the test substance (H2), after it has been carried along by the column of test medium, results in a test peak in a sensor (11) which responds to the test substance (H2) and is connected to the monitoring line (2).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de préparer un volume défini d'une substance d'analyse (H2) dans une conduite de contrôle (2) remplie d'un milieu témoin (par ex. de l'air), prévue pour déterminer des profils de concentration le long d'une section. Afin de pouvoir transporter une colonne de milieu témoin à travers la conduite de contrôle (2), la pression (p) est augmentée dans ladite conduite de contrôle (2) par enclenchement d'une pompe refoulante, ou bien dans un autre mode de réalisation, dans la même optique, la pression est réduite par enclenchement d'une pompe aspirante (12). Un volume dosé prédéfini de la substance d'analyse (H2) est libéré automatiquement lorsque ladite substance dépasse une valeur limite de la pression (p) régnant dans la conduite de contrôle (2). La libération du volume dosé de substance d'analyse (H2) se traduit, après entraînement par la colonne de milieu témoin, par une valeur de crête dans un détecteur (11) réagissant à la substance d'analyse (H2) et étant relié à la conduite de contrôle (2). Domaine d'application: générateur de valeur de crête à commande pneumatique.
