In a recording medium storing MPEG stream, flag information (encode_condition) indicating that the stream is recorded in a format enabling easily the first stream (MPEG transport stream) to be converted into the second stream (MPEG program stream) is provided. Such as a flag information is included in Tip packet which is a control packet, in the medium. Thus it can easily determine whether the data is recorded in this format without analysis of data stored in the recording medium.
L'invention porte sur un support d'enregistrement stockant des flux de donn~es MPEG et des informations de signalisation (~tat de codage) indiquant que les flux de donn~es sont enregistr~s dans un format permettant de convertir facilement le premier flot de donn~es (flux de transport MPEG) en un second flux de donn~es (flux de programme MPEG). Ces informations de signalisation sont comprises dans un paquet terminal qui consiste en un paquet de contrÙle, dans le support. Par cons~quent, il est facile de d~terminer si les donn~es sont enregistr~es dans le format sans analyser les donn~es stock~es dans le support d'enregistrement.
