A method of locating a fuelling point with the aid of an optical sensor means, and more particularly for locating on one side of a vehicle chassis a fuel- tank flap (12) that has inwardly thereof a fuel-tank pipe (10) for fuelling of the vehicle concerned, and therewith cause a fuelling robot (2) to open said fuel-tank flap and to dock the robot head (3) of said fuelling robot with the fuel-tank pipe. The invention is characterised in that the area around the fuel-tank flap on said one chassis side is illuminated with light from a light source (13, 14) that gives a spectral irradiance which corresponds to or is greater than the spectral irradiance of the ambient lighting; in that the optical sensor means (23) is adapted to detect light from the light source that is reflected from said chassis side; and in that a computer (29, 31) is used to detect the position of the fuel-tank flap (12) on said chassis side in relation to the position of the robot head (3). The present invention also relates to an arrangement.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de localiser un point d'alimentation en carburant au moyen d'un capteur optique, et plus précisément, de localiser, sur un côté du châssis du véhicule, une trappe (12) à carburant à l'intérieur de laquelle se trouve le tuyau (10) du réservoir de carburant, et ce en vue du ravitaillement en carburant du véhicule concerné. Selon ledit procédé, un robot (2) de ravitaillement en carburant peut ouvrir ladite trappe à carburant et disposer sa tête (3) au contact du tuyau du réservoir. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que la zone entourant la trappe à carburant sur le côté du châssis précité est éclairée par une lumière provenant d'une source lumineuse (13, 14) produisant un éclairement spectrique équivalent ou supérieur à l'éclairement spectrique de la lumière ambiante; en ce que le capteur optique (23) est conçu pour détecter la lumière émanant de la source lumineuse qui est réfléchie par ledit côté du châssis; et en ce qu'un ordinateur (29, 31) permet de détecter la position de la trappe (12) à carburant sur le côté du châssis par rapport à la position de la tête (3) du robot. La présente invention concerne également le dispositif correspondant.
