The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a material web of synthetic textile material for conversion into table-cloths. Here, two material webs produced according to standard procedure are joined along their respective side edges to a material web folded to a V shape for obtaining a total width on the produced web that is greater than the maximum width of a web produced by standard procedure. The inventive apparatus includes two reels (1, 2) on which are wound webs (3, 4) of standard manufacture, which may be rolled off the reels and into mutual proximity with the aid of a roll nip (6) disposed after the reels, there also being a folding plate (8) for folding a third web (5) into a V shape which may be joined to both webs (3, 4) along their respective juxtaposed side edges by its free side portions (12, 13) to form a material web (11) having a total width which is greater than the maximum width of a web produced by standard procedure. A web (11) produced in accordance with the method and apparatus includes at least three webs (3, 4, 5) spliced to each other along their respective side edges, at least one web (5) having its free side portions (12, 13) overlapping and joined to the longitudinal edges (9, 10) of the juxtaposed webs (3, 4).
Cette invention concerne un procédé ainsi qu'un appareil destinés à la fabrication d'un voile de tissu à partir d'un tissu textile synthétique, lequel voile sera ensuite transformé en nappes. Dans la présente invention, deux voiles de tissu fabriqués d'après les techniques traditionnelles sont reliés le long de leurs bords respectifs à un voile de tissu plié en V de manière à obtenir un voile dont la largeur totale est supérieure à la largeur maximale des voiles obtenus par des techniques traditionnelles. L'appareil comporte deux dévidoirs (1, 2) sur lesquels sont enroulés des voiles (3, 4) de fabrication traditionnelle, lesquels voiles sont ensuite déroulés des dévidoirs et amenés à proximité l'un de l'autre à l'aide de rouleaux de pinçage (6) situés en aval desdits dévidoirs. Une table de pliage (8) permet de plier un troisième voile (5) en V avant qu'il soit relié par ses parties latérales libres (12, 13) aux deux autres voiles (3, 4) le long de leurs bords juxtaposés respectifs. Ce système permet d'obtenir un voile de tissu (11) dont la largeur totale est supérieure à la largeur maximale des voiles obtenus par des techniques traditionnelles. Le voile (11) fabriqué d'après ce procédé et à l'aide de cet appareil comporte au moins trois voiles (3, 4, 5) reliés les uns aux autres le long de leur bords respectifs, un voile (5) au moins ayant ses parties latérales libres (12, 13) qui dépassent et qui sont reliées aux bords longitudinaux (9, 10) des voiles juxtaposés (3, 4).
