A method and apparatus for determining a first (dispersed) fluid concentration in a second (dispersing) fluid stream. A sample of fluid to be analysed is conditioned to produce a well defined size distribution of the first fluid. The said sample is supplied to a detector, which is sensitive to changes in particle size distribution of the first fluid within file second fluid. At least one change is introduced in the size distribution of file first (dispersed) fluid within the second (dispersing) fluid. At least two detector signals of the sample flowing through the said detector are measured, and form the detector signal change, thus obtained, information is derived on the concentration of the dispersed fluid in the said dispersing fluid stream.
Procédé et appareil permettant de déterminer la concentration d'un premier fluide (dispersé) dans un deuxième flux de fluide (dispersant). Le procédé se déroule de la manière suivante: on conditionne un échantillon du fluide à analyser pour produire une répartition granulométrique bien définie du premier fluide; on envoie cet échantillon à un détecteur qui est sensible aux variations de répartition granulométrique des particules du premier fluide dispersé dans le deuxième fluide; on introduit au moins un changement dans la répartition granulométrique du premier fluide (dispersé) se trouvant dans le deuxième fluide (dispersant); on mesure au moins deux signaux de détecteur de l'échantillon qui s'écoule dans ledit détecteur et, à partir de la variation du signal de détecteur ainsi obtenue, on obtient des informations relatives à la concentration du fluide dispersé dans ledit flux de fluide dispersant.
