In a method for producing a mat of predetermined width and thickness, of spreadable material for ligneous-material boards or the like, wherein the spreadable material issues from a hopper in a width corresponding to the predetermined width, and is placed on a support which is continuously driven by a conveyor means at right angles to the predetermined width and which is situated thereunder, and wherein the spreadable material is subjected between the hopper and the support to at least one mechanical fluffer and thereunder a pneumatic fluffer which extend over the entire spreading width, it is proposed, for the solution of the problem of defects which necessarily occur in a mat between the hopper and the support, and at the same time to permit a given material distribution through a vertical cross section of a mat that is to be pressed, that, in accordance with a desired material distribution, especially a distribution of sizes through the mat thickness, the material be subjected, prior to its deposit on the support, to a controllable additional mechanical fluffer, and subsequent to the at least one mechanical fluffer and the following pneumatic fluffer, to subject the material, before it is deposited on the support, to a controllable additional mechanical fluffer and to the pneumatic fluffer thereunder; at the same time, protection is sought also for an apparatus for the practice of the method, in which, for the solution of the problem already explained, it is proposed that a blower, controllable in its aspirating or compressing power, be disposed, upstream or downstream, in a wall defining the spreading station, and that a controllable apparatus defining the bottom of the air stream area and permitting an additional mechanical fluffing of the material, be provided in the spreading station closed off by the continually moving support.
Méthode de fabrication d'un mat de largeur et d'épaisseur prédéterminées, à partir d'un matériau étalable pour panneaux en substances ligneuses ou l'équivalent, où le matériau étalable possède, à la sortie de la trémie, la largeur prédéterminée et est déposé sur un support se déplaçant en continu sur un dispositif à convoyeur sous-jacent et perpendiculaire à la largeur prédéterminée; entre la trémie et le support, le matériau étalable est soumis à l'effet d'au moins un malaxeur mécanique puis à un malaxeur pneumatique qui couvre toute la largeur d'étalement afin de régler les problèmes à l'origine des défauts se produisant dans le mat entre la trémie et le support et aussi afin de permettre une répartition uniforme du matériau dans la section verticale d'un mat qui doit être comprimé, soit la répartition souhaitée du matériau, surtout la répartition des particules de différentes grosseurs dans l'épaisseur du mat; avant d'être déposé sur le support, le matériau doit passer dans un malaxeur mécanique additionnel contrôlable après avoir passé dans au moins un malaxeur mécanique puis dans un malaxeur pneumatique; en même temps, une protection est également recherchée pour l'appareil qui met en oeuvre la méthode, dans lequel, pour la solution des problèmes déjà exposés, on propose l'installation d'un ventilateur à puissance d'aspiration et de compression contrôlable, en amont ou en aval, dans une paroi du poste d'étalement et l'installation d'un appareil contrôlable délimitant le fond de la zone de projection de l'air et permettant un malaxage mécanique additionnel du matériau dans le poste d'étalement fermé par le support en mouvement continu.
