A heat-shrinkable closure for a low-to-medium voltage power cable joint (3) wherein two different materials (7, 9) (preferably hot melt adhesives) are used to fill the voids within the container around the joint (3), a sealant (7) with a higher softening temperature being positioned to act as a dam at the ends of the closure to retain therein a lower-softening-point other sealant (9). Uniquely profiled or discontinuous layers of the sealing materials (7, 9) are preferred.

On décrit une fermeture thermorétrécissable destinée à un joint (3) de câble de puissance à tension faible à moyenne dans lequel deux matériaux différents (7, 9) (de préférence des adhésifs thermofusibles) sont utilisés pour combler les vides à l'intérieur de la gaine située autour du joint (3), un agent d'étanchéité (7) à température de ramollissement élevée est placé pour faire barrage aux extrémités de la fermeture afin d'y retenir un autre agent d'étanchéité (9) à point de ramollissement plus faible. Des couches à profil spécifique ou des couches discontinues formées des matériaux d'étanchéité (7, 9) sont préférées.
