A method and apparatus for assessing tissue for the presence of oedema and, in particular, lymphoedema is disclosed. The method is based on measurement of bioelectrical impedance at a single low frequency voltage. Measurements are taken of two anatomical regions of a subject and analysed to give an indication of tissue oedema.
L'invention concerne une méthode et un dispositif destinés à l'examen d'un tissu pour la détection d'oedèmes, en particulier de lymphoedèmes. Cette méthode est fondée sur la mesure d'une impédance bioélectrique à une tension unique basse fréquence. Les mesures sont effectuées sur deux régions anatomiques d'un patient et analysées afin de fournir des indications sur la présence d'un oedème tissulaire.
