The invention relates to a method for sorting batteries (10), with batteries being separated on the basis of a measured electrical property which is characteristic of their composition. The electric property of the battery is according to the invention determined by applying to the battery (10) a varying electrical voltage and measuring the resulting current through the battery. The varying electrical voltage advantageously consists of a first pulse and a second pulse which have opposite polarities, and which may both be generated by the discharge of a capacitor (2). In addition, a second property may be determined, e.g., the shape or colour of the battery. With such method, a very effective separation between, e.g., nickel-cadmium, alkaline, lithium, and other batteries may be obtained. The invention further relates to a device (1) for determining electrical properties of batteries.
Procédé de tri de piles (10), lesdites piles étant séparées sur la base d'une propriété électrique mesurée qui est caractéristique de leur composition. Selon la présente invention, la propriété électrique de la pile est déterminée par application à ladite pile (10) d'une tension électrique variable et mesure du courant qui en résulte à travers la pile. De manière avantageuse, la tension électrique variable se compose d'une première impulsion et d'une seconde impulsion qui ont des polarités opposées et qui peuvent être toutes deux générées par la décharge d'un condensateur (2). De plus, il est possible de déterminer une seconde propriété, par ex. la forme ou la couleur de la pile. Le présent procédé permet d'effectuer une séparation très efficace des piles, par ex. au nickel-cadmium, alcalines, au lithium et autres. La présente invention concerne en outre un dispositif (1) destiné à déterminer les propriétés électriques des piles.
