Method and device for separation of a fluid comprising several fluid components, especially separation of a well fluid in connection with a pipe for production of hydrocarbons/water. The fluid is fed into one end of a mainly horizontal pipe of a length adapted to the current conditions of flow, with the fluid flowing through the pipe at such a speed that it is separated. During separation fluid components with a low density are formed in the top part of the pipe and fluid components with a higher density are formed in the lower part of the pipe. The fluid components are taken out through separate outlets.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de séparation d'un fluide comprenant plusieurs constituants fluidiques, et notamment la séparation d'un fluide de puits en association avec l'utilisation d'un tuyau de production d'hydrocarbures/eau. On alimente le fluide dans une extrémité d'un tuyau essentiellement horizontal et d'une longueur adaptée aux conditions actuelles d'écoulement, le fluide circulant à travers le tuyau à une telle vitesse qu'il y subit une séparation. Lors de cette séparation, les constituants fluidiques possédant une faible densité sont formés dans la partie supérieure du tuyau et les constituants fluidiques possédant une densité supérieure sont formés dans la partie inférieure du tuyau, ces deux types de constituants fluidiques étant récupérés au moyen d'orifices de sortie séparés.
