A method and/or system enabling consumers to purchase gasoline from a remote gasoline retailer by conducting a gasoline purchase transaction via a wide area network arrangement, and further recording that said transaction using a transaction identifier system (i.e. credit card, smart card, etc.) then enabling the consumer to take possession of said gasoline by presentation of said transaction identifier to a gasoline retailer.
