The invention is a method and system for determining, within a social networking system, a royalty to be paid for use of a file. The method begins with the embedding of license data within the file to be played. A scanning routine is initiated for scanning the file to determine a set of permitted uses. If the file meets the pre- determined use criteria, then it can be played by a player device within a specified territory. A register is maintained to record each instance that the file is played, and to aggregate a set of total instances. A calculation routine, is utilized to determine a royalty in respect of the license parameters and associated metrics. The royalty is also determined by territory and device type. After having been calculated, the royalty is assigned to a label account and accumulated until a payment is made in respect of the accumulated royalty.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant de déterminer, à l'intérieur d'un système de réseau social, une redevance devant être payée pour utiliser un fichier. Le procédé démarre par l'incorporation de données de licence dans le fichier devant être lu. Une routine de balayage est déclenchée pour balayer le fichier afin de déterminer un ensemble d'utilisations autorisées. Si le fichier répond aux critères d'utilisation prédéterminés, alors il peut être lu par un dispositif de lecture dans un territoire spécifié. Un registre est tenu afin d'enregistrer chaque instance de lecture du fichier et afin d'agréger un ensemble d'instances totales. Une routine de calcul est utilisée pour déterminer une redevance par rapport aux paramètres de licence et aux mesures associées. La redevance est également déterminée en fonction du territoire et du type de dispositif. Après avoir été calculée, la redevance est attribuée à un compte d'une marque de distribution puis elle est cumulée jusqu'au paiement effectif de la redevance accumulée.
