The invention relates to a method for burning solid fuels and relates to a burner utilising the method. The burner comprises a hopper for inlet of the solid fuel to be burned and comprises an inlet for primary combustion air. The hopper consists of a cylinder having a disc-shaped cross-section, and the primary inlet consists of a pipe arranged around the hopper and having an annular cross section. Combustion of the solid fuel takes place in a primary combustion zone beneath the hopper and the primary inlet. Below the hopper and the primary inlet a grate or other restriction means is provided. The restriction means has the effect that ashes from the fuel burned in the primary combustion zone cannot pass through the restriction means only by means of gravity. A natural draught also has to be present for passing the ashes out of the primary combustion zone through the restriction means.
L'invention concerne, d'une part, un procédé permettant de brûler des combustibles solides et, d'autre part, un brûleur permettant de mettre en oeuvre ce procédé. Le brûleur comprend une trémie destinée à l'admission du combustible solide devant être brûlé, laquelle trémie est pourvue d'un orifice d'entrée destiné à l'air primaire. La trémie consiste en un cylindre présentant une section transversale en forme de disque, et l'orifice d'entrée est composé d'une canalisation placée autour de la trémie et présentant une section transversale annulaire. La combustion du combustible solide s'effectue dans une zone de combustion primaire sous la trémie et l'orifice d'entrée primaire. Dans une partie inférieure à la trémie et à l'orifice d'entrée primaire, une grille ou un autre moyen de limitation est installé. Le moyen de limitation permet d'empêcher que les cendres provenant du combustible en combustion dans la zone de combustion primaire ne passent à travers ledit moyen autrement que par gravité. Un tirage naturel doit également être ménagé afin d'évacuer les cendres hors de la zone de combustion primaire et à travers le moyen de limitation.
