A method for communicating state information between a server and a mobile device browser with version handling includes: providing a control channel between the server and mobile device browser; transmitting at least one message from the mobile device browser to the server over the control channel indicative of browsing-related state data, wherein the at least one message includes an XML-encoded document and a protocol version value identifying a version of Document Type Definition (DTD) against which to validate the XML- encoded document; and regulating subsequent transmission of data from the server to the mobile device browser based on the at least one message.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant la transmission d'informations d'état entre un serveur et un navigateur d'un dispositif mobile, en assurant la gestion des versions. Ce procédé consiste à établir un canal de commande entre le serveur et le navigateur du dispositif mobile, à transmettre du navigateur du dispositif mobile au serveur au moins un message contenant des données d'état se rapportant à la navigation, par le canal de commande, ce message contenant un document codé en XML et une valeur de version de protocole identifiant une version de définition de document type (DTD) servant de référence pour valider le document XML, et à réguler la transmission subséquente de données du serveur au navigateur du dispositif mobile en fonction de ce/s message/s.
