The present invention provides a method of improving the sinkability of fish pellets, comprising providing an aqueous solution of sugar at the surface of the pellets. The sugar solution may be applied in a concentration of between 1- 10 %, under vacuum or at ambient pressure and with or without the addition of natural oils. Ideally the sugar solution contains sucrose and a beet molasses product is the preferred choice of a sugar containing solution.

La présente invention concerne un procédé d'amélioration de la submersibilité des granulés pour poissons, caractérisé en ce que la surface des granulés est recouverte d'une solution aqueuse de sucre. La solution de sucre peut être appliquée dans une concentration comprise entre 1 et 10 %, sous vide ou à une pression ambiante et avec ou sans adjonction d'huiles naturelles. Idéalement, la solution de sucre contient du saccharose, et un produit à base de mélasse de betterave est choisi de préférence pour une solution contenant du sucre.
