The present invention relates to the use of a solution comprising a non- infectious DNA molecule able to express in a mammal, a physiologically active protein, for the manufacture of a medicament intended to be delivered mainly to the mammalian skin using a needle-free apparatus adapted to this effect. The physiologically active protein can be an antigen that is (i) specific for a microorganism able to induce an infection in a mammal or (ii) tumor- associated; in this case the medicament is for treating or preventing an infection or a tumor disorder. The protein can also be a mammalian protein able to treat a genetic defect e.g., factor XIII or IX; or a cytokine.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'une solution contenant une molécule d'ADN non infectieuse capable d'exprimer chez un mammifère, une protéine physiologiquement active, dans le but de préparer un médicament devant être administré principalement à la peau du mammifère au moyen d'un dispositif sans aiguille conçu à cet effet. Cette protéine physiologiquement active exprime un antigène (i) spécifique pour un micro-organisme capable d'induire une infection chez un mammifère ou (ii) associé à une tumeur. Dans ce cas, le médicament sert à traiter ou à prévenir une infection ou une maladie tumorale. Cette protéine peut être également une protéine mammifère capable de traiter un défaut génétique, par exemple, le facteur XIII ou IX, ou une cytokine.
