The present invention relates to a LED street lamp, and in particular provides a method of installing a secondary optical lens on a LED street lamp. A method of installing a secondary optical lens on a LED street lamp comprises installing a secondary optical lens on a lens mounting plate such that the lens is accommodated and secured within mounting holes provided with elastic tongue pieces which may interact with hooks on the lens. The lens mounting plate with said secondary optical lens and a LED array board may then be fastened onto the body of the LED street lamp.
