The present invention relates to a method for isolating of phenolic sunstances or juvabiones from wood comprising knotwood, said method comprising the steps of a) extracting i) the over-sized chip fraction obtained by screening chipped wood, or ii) a knot-rich sub-fraction obtained from said over-sized chip fraction, or iii) knotwood obtained as a residue in finishing of mechanical wood products, with a polar solvent, and b) recovering the extract.

L'invention concerne un procédé relatif à l'isolation de substances phénoliques ou de juvabiones dans du bois noueux, selon les étapes suivantes: a) extraction i) de la partie de copeau de taille excédentaire par criblage du bois mis en copeaux, ou ii) d'une partie secondaire à densité noueuse issue de la partie susmentionée, ou iii) du bois noueux formant le résidu de la finition dans l'élaboration mécanique des produits du bois, en utilisant à cet effet un solvant polaire, et b) récupération de l'extrait.
