A system for providing failover redundancy in a remote access solution that includes at least one application resource on a back-end server is discussed. The system further includes multiple gateway servers. One of the multiple gateway servers is designated as a primary gateway server while the other servers are designated as failover gateway servers. Each of the multiple gateway servers hosts a session with at least one executing application instance for the same application with each of the sessions on the failover gateway servers being maintained in the same state as the session on the primary gateway server. The primary gateway server is the only one of the gateway servers that is allowed to communicate with the application resource(s). The system further includes a client device that is in communication over a VPN with the primary gateway server. The client device receives output of the application instance executing in the session on the primary gateway server over the VPN. The client device also sends input to the primary gateway server over the VPN. The received output is displayed on a viewer by the client device.
La présente invention a trait à un système de redondance auxiliaire dans une solution d'accès à distance comportant au moins une ressource d'application sur un serveur dorsal. Le système comporte également une pluralité de serveurs de passerelle. Un parmi la pluralité de serveurs de passerelle est désigné comme serveur de passerelle principal tandis que les autres serveurs sont désignés serveurs de passerelle auxiliaires. Chacun de la pluralité de serveurs de passerelle héberge une session avec au moins une instance d'application d'exécution pour la même application, chacune des sessions sur les serveurs de passerelle auxiliaires étant maintenue dans le même état que la session sur le serveur de passerelle principal. Le serveur de passerelle principal est le seul parmi les serveurs de passerelle autorisé à communiquer avec la/les ressource(s) d'application. Le système comporte en outre un dispositif client qui est en communication sur un réseau privé virtuel avec le serveur de passerelle principal. Le dispositif client reçoit la sortie d'une instance d'application opérant dans la session sur le serveur de passerelle principal via le réseau privé virtuel. Le dispositif client envoie également une entrée au serveur de passerelle principal via le réseau privé virtuel. La sortie reçue est affichée sur un dispositif de visualisation par le dispositif client.
