A method of manufacturing a disposable exreta managment device comprising a liquid impermeable body facing sheet having an opening (13), a liquid impermeable garment facing sheet, and an adhesive flange (12) provided adjacent to the opening (13) for releasable attachment to the body of the wearer. The adhesive flange (12) comprises a substrate layer and an adhesive layer. The liquid impermeable body facing sheet has plural folds thereon. The plural folds comprises at least one lateral fold and at least a pair of longitudingal folds. The method comprising the steps of: combining a continuous liquid impermeable body facing sheet web and a discrete adhesive flange (12) to make a first continuous composite web at a first combining section; forming lateral fold on the continuous liquid imperemable body facing sheet web a first fold forming section, and then forming a pair of longitudinal folds on the continuous liquid impermeable body facing sheet web at a second fold forming section; combining the first continuous composite web and a continuous liquid impermeable garment facing sheet web to make a second continuous composite web at a second combining section, and cutting the second continuous composite web into the discrete disposable excreta management device.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une structure jetable de gestion de déjections qui comporte une surface face au corps imperméable aux liquides pourvu d'une ouverture (13), une surface face au vêtement imperméable aux liquides et un rebord adhésif (12) adjacent à l'ouverture (13) de manière à engendrer un attachement amovible au corps d'un utilisateur. Le rebord adhésif (12) comprend une couche de substrat et une couche adhésive. Cette surface face au corps a plusieurs plis composés d'au moins un pli latéral et d'au moins deux plis longitudinaux. Le procédé consiste à combiner un ensemble continu de surfaces face au corps et un rebord adhésif discret (12) pour créer un premier ensemble composite au niveau d'une première section de combinaison, à former un pli latéral sur cet ensemble au niveau d'une première section de formation de plis, et à former deux plis longitudinaux sur l'ensemble continu de surfaces face au corps imperméable aux liquides au niveau d'une seconde section de formation de plis, à combiner le premier ensemble composite continu et un ensemble continu de surfaces face au vêtement imperméables aux liquides afin de créer un second ensemble composite continu au niveau d'une seconde section de combinaison, et à couper le second ensemble composite continu dans la structure discrète jetable de gestion de déjections.
