The present invention relates to antigenic heterocomplexes of TNF-alpha and a carrier protein for obtaining a humoral immune response in a mammal with production of antibodies that neutralize the biological activity of TNF-alpha as well as to a method for preparing the same. The antigenic protein TNF-alpha and the carrier protein are conjugated in presence of EDTA using glutaraldehyde , formaldehyde and glycine and, in some embodiments, DMSO, allowing thus to improve immunogenicity and stability. The following proteins can be used as carrier: keyhole limpet Haemocyanin (KHL) , bovine serum albumins (BSA) , inactivated bacterial toxins such as tetanus or diphteria toxins (TT and DT) , the purified protein derivative of tuberculin (PPD) and Protein D from Haemophilus Influenzae .

La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé de préparation d'un produit immunogène stable comprenant des hétérocomplexes antigéniques de TNF.alpha. et une protéine-support, les étapes de ce procédé étant présentées dans la spécification.
