The present invention relates to a method and a device for removal of solid deposits from surfaces of electrodes of a DC electrolytic cell for disinfecting of water in a closed system, especially in a swimming pool, SPA or hot tub, by simultaneous spinning the water over the electrode surfaces and electrolytic release of the deposits from the surfaces without interruption of the disinfecting process, comprising: (a) changing the polarity of the electrodes of the cell at predetermined frequency for electochemically releasing the deposited scale from the electrode surfaces; (b) circulating the water through a hydrocyclone containing a DC electrolytic cell for disinfecting of the water so that said deposits are washed off the electrodes of the cell; (c) periodical removing the scale particles from a drain chamber located at the bottom of the hydrocyclone.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil destiné à éliminer les dépôts solides sur les surfaces des électrodes d'une cellule électrolytique à courant continu servant à désinfecter l'eau dans un système fermé, en particulier dans les piscine, jacuzzis et cuves thermales. Ce procédé, dans lequel on fait passer de l'eau en tourbillon sur les surfaces électrolytiques pour en détacher les dépôts sans interrompre le processus de désinfection, consiste à: (a) inverser la polarité des électrodes de la cellules à une fréquence déterminée pou détacher par action électrochimique les dépôts de tartre présents sur les surfaces des électrodes; (b) faire circuler l'eau au travers d'un hydrocyclone renfermant une cellule électrolytique à courant continu de désinfection de l'eau, de manière à détacher lesdits dépôts des électrodes et à les entraîner ; et (c) retirer périodiquement les particules de tartre retenues dans une chambre de vidange au bas de l'hydrocyclone.
