A method for the application of a two-component permanent silicone adhesive to a shell-shaped breast prosthesis of soft, elastic material preferably a two-component silicone rubber body provided with welded plastic film cover and cured in a heated mould. The method includes the steps of injecting the two-component adhesive through a borehole provided in the lid of the mould after the body of prosthesis is placed in the mould and the lid is closed. The adhesive layer is then cured together with the body. Alternative methods include manufacturing the adhesive layer separately and positioning the adhesive in the mould prior to moulding or inserting a reusable thermoplastic shell between the adhesive and the mould lid.
