The present invention relates to a method for the disposal of used granular organic ion-exchanges. The method comprises carbonizing the ion-exchanges in a substantially inert atmosphere at temperatures of 300°C to 900°C. The ion exchanges are thereafter actuated in an oxidizing atmosphere to convert the ion exchanges into activated carbon spherulets.

La présente invention porte sur une méthode pour éliminer des échangeurs d'ions, organiques, granulaires. La méthode consiste à carboniser les échangeurs d'ions dans une atmosphère pratiquement inerte à une température se situant dans une plage de 300-900 degrés C. Les échangeurs d'ions sont ensuite entraînés dans une atmosphère oxydante afin de convertir ces échangeurs en sphérules de charbon actif.
