This invention relates to the use of an agonist specific for at least one somatostatin (SST) receptor showing an increased expression in a patient's vascular wall subsequent to injury or operation, for the manufacture of a pharmaceutical preparation. Said pharmaceutical preparation is intended for use in the treatment or the prevention of said patient's fibroproliferative vasculopathy following vascular injury or a vascular surgical operation. Said pharmaceutical composition is intended for administering to said patient for one to two weeks after the injury or surgical operation.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation pour la production d'une préparation pharmaceutique, d'un agoniste spécifique d'au moins un récepteur de somatostatine (SST) présentant, suite à une lésion ou à une opération, une expression accrue dans la paroi vasculaire d'un patient. Cette préparation pharmaceutique est destinée à être utilisée dans le traitement ou la prévention de la vasculopathie fibroproliférative chez le patient en question, suite à une lésion vasculaire ou une opération chirurgicale vasculaire. Cette composition pharmaceutique est destinée à être administrée audit patient pendant une ou deux semaines suivant la lésion ou l'opération chirurgicale.
