The invention relates to the absorption of carbon dioxide from a process gas using a solution of potassium carbonate circulating around a circuit, to provide potassium bicarbonate, in the presence of diethanol amine as a catalyst and potassium vanadate as a corrosion inhibitor, followed by desorption of the carbon dioxide in the circuit. Organic acid salts of potassium build-up in the circuit, and there is withdrawal of a side stream of part of the aqueous solution from the circuit, dilution thereof with aqueous diluent, and passing thereof over a semi-permeable membrane to remove the organic acid salts of potassium from the side stream, as an aqueous solution thereof. The vanadate anions are prevented from passing through the membrane, and the remainder of the side stream is returned to the circuit, make up of potassium carbonate and diethanol amine being added to the circuit, as required.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant l'absorption du dioxyde de carbone d'un gaz industriel. On fait circuler une solution de carbonate de potassium dans un circuit afin de produire du bicarbonate de potassium, en présence de diéthanolamine comme catalyseur et de vanadate de potassium comme inhibiteur de corrosion, le dioxyde de carbone étant ensuite désorbé dans le circuit. Les sels potassiques d'acide organique s'accumulent dans le circuit, on extrait une partie de la solution aqueuse du circuit sous forme de courant latéral, on la dilue avec un diluant aqueux, et on passe cette solution aqueuse de sels potassiques d'acide organique à travers une membrane semi-perméable afin d'éliminer les sels potassiques d'acide organique du courant latéral. Les anions de vanadate ne peuvent passer à travers la membrane et le reste du courant latéral retourne vers le circuit, un complément de carbonate de potassium et de diéthanolamine étant ajouté au circuit en fonction des besoins.
