The invention relates to a fast-dissolving film product containing at least one drug; and a water soluble polymer composition. The invention further relates to methods of administering the film product. The method includes administering the film to the oral cavity of a subject in need of the drug; and administering a fluid in the oral cavity while the film is present therein to substantially dissolve the film and form a solution or dispersion thereof to be ingested by the subject. Desirably, ingestion of the thus-formed solution or dispersion provides increased blood levels of the drug as compared to the film taken without the fluid.
L'invention concerne un produit en film à dissolution rapide contenant au moins un médicament; et une composition polymère soluble dans l'eau. Cette invention concerne en outre des procédés d'administration de ce produit en film. Ce procédé consiste à administrer le film à la cavité buccale d'un sujet; et à administrer un liquide dans la cavité buccale en présence du film afin de sensiblement dissoudre le film et de former une solution ou une dispersion de celui-ci destinée à être ingérée par le sujet. Idéalement, l'ingestion de la solution ou de la dispersion ainsi formée augmente les concentrations du médicament dans le sang par rapport au film absorbé sans le liquide.
