The present invention includes a method of administering a type III phosphodiesterase (PDE3) inhibitor via titration. For example, the method comprises administering to a mammal multiple doses of the PDE3 inhibitor, wherein one or more doses are administered in an initial dosage amount and one or more doses are subsequently administered in an end dosage amount, and the initial dosage amount is less in amount than the end dosage amount. Preferably, the PDE3 inhibitor is also a TXA2 synthase inhibitor.
