A method of and an apparatus for drying solid materials and material mixtures in a dryer (10), comprising a drying space (12), which is divided by wall elements (14, 14') into drying passages (16a-16e) in such a way that each drying passage is limited into two wall elements. Material to be dried is supplied to the drying passages through the upper part thereof. Drying gas is supplied to the drying passages through a first wall element (14) limiting them and moist drying gas is led out of the drying passage to a second wall element limiting them. The dried material is discharged from the drying passages through the lower part thereof. Adjacent wall elements are moved relative to each other in connection with the emptying of the drying passages.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif destinés au séchage de matières solides et de mélanges de matières solides dans un séchoir (10). Ce séchoir (10) comprend un espace de séchage (12) divisé par des parois (14, 14') en plusieurs passages de séchage (16a-16e), de façon que chaque passage de séchage soit délimité par deux éléments de paroi. Les matières à sécher sont introduites dans les passages de séchage par la partie supérieure des passages. Un gaz de séchage est introduit dans les passages de séchage par un premier élément de paroi (14) délimitant un passage. Le gaz de séchage chargé d'humidité est évacué du passage de séchage par un second élément de paroi délimitant le passage. La matière séchée est évacuée des passages de séchage par la partie inférieure du passage. Les éléments de paroi adjacents sont déplacés les uns par rapport aux autres en fonction du vidage des passages de séchage.
