This specification presents methods of containing/absorbing alpha, beta, gamma, X-ray, and neutron radiation using Fullerene molecules employing the resonant relativistic absorption phenomena based on a frequency dependant Doppler effect. Radioactive atoms, ions, and molecules (Xrad) are encapsulated in a variety of Fullerene molecules (C60, onions, nanotubes, and capsules). The resulting radioactive material-holding Fullerene complexes (Xrad@Cn) will either decrease the intensity of escaping internally-generated radioactive emissions or, in certain optimal cases, absorb and/or contain all such internally-generated radioactive emissions which occur as the radioactive material decays.
L'invention concerne des procédés de confinement/absorption de rayonnements alpha, bêta, gamma, X et neutronique au moyen de molécules de fullerène, par le phénomène d'absorption relativiste à résonance basé sur l'effet Doppler dépendant de la fréquence. Les atomes, les ions et les molécules (X¿rad?) radioactifs sont encapsulés dans divers types de molécules de fullerène (C¿60?, oignons, nanotubes et capsules). Les complexes de fullerène (X¿rad?@C¿n?) résultants porteurs de la matière radioactive réduisent l'intensité les échappements d'émissions radioactives générées à l'intérieur, dans certains cas optimaux, absorbent et/ou confinent toutes les émissions radioactives générées à l'intérieur apparaissant à mesure que le matériau radioactif se désagrège.
