The present invention relates to the use of 3-phenyluracils of formula (I) wherein the variables R1 to R7 are as defined in the description, optionally in combination with one or more other herbicides B and/or one or more safeners C for controlling weeds in soybeans, cotton, canola, flax, lentil, rice, sugar beet, sunflowers, tobacco, wheat and corn.
