The invention provides kits and methods for detecting or monitoring the number of cells in sample. The cell comprises a cell surface associated protein (CSAP) comprising a cytoplasmic (cytosolic) and an extracellular (ecto) domain. The kit comprises: (i) a chromatographic device; and (ii) a CSAP-binding agent. The method comprises: (i) optionally contacting the sample with an agent capable of lysing or permeabilizing CSAP bearing cells; (ii) contacting the sample with a CSAP-binding agent that binds to the cytoplasmic domain of the CSAP; and (iii) directly or indirectly evaluating the level or presence of bound CSAP in the sample.

L'invention concerne des coffrets et des procédés pour détecter ou surveiller le nombre de cellules dans un échantillon. La cellule comporte une protéine associée à la surface cellulaire (CSAP) comportant un domaine cytoplasmique (cytosolique) et un domaine extracellulaire (ecto). Le coffret comporte : (i) un dispositif chromatographique ; et (ii) un agent de liaison à une CSAP. Le procédé comporte les opérations consistant à : (i) mettre en contact, facultativement, l'échantillon avec un agent capable de lyser ou de perméabiliser les cellules portant une CSAP ; (ii) mettre en contact l'échantillon avec un agent de liaison d'une CSAP qui se lie au domaine cytoplasmique de la CSAP ; et (iii) évaluer directement ou indirectement le taux ou la présence d'une CSAP liée dans l'échantillon.
