A method of ensuring the flatness of a vane (14) that is mounted in a headbox by means of a mounting arrangement including engagement dowels (22) for cooperation with a downstream support wall (25) of a transverse groove (20), said vane being affected during operation by shearing forces from the stock and by retaining forces from the mounting arrangement. In accordance with the invention outer engagement dowels are mounted at the side edges (31, 32) of the vane to cooperate during a specific period of time, as the only engagement dowels (22a), with the downstream support wall in order to take up said shearing forces, whereby tensile stresses will arise in the downstream end portion (33) of the vane in the cross machine direction. The invention also relates to a headbox having such a mounting arrangement and the mounting arrangement per se in which the vane within and downstream of an inner area (35) of the upstream end portion (21) of the vane is arranged to move freely in the machine direction in relation to said downstream support wall during said period of time.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'assurer la planéité d'une pale (14) montée sur une caisse de tête, au moyen d'un agencement de montage pourvu de doigts d'engagement (22) conçus pour coopérer avec une paroi support en aval (25) d'une gorge transversale (20). En cours de fonctionnement, ladite pale est altérée par des forces de cisaillement produites par la pâte et par des forces de rétention produites par l'agencement de montage. Selon ladite invention, des doigts d'engagement extérieurs sont montés sur les bords latéraux (31, 32) de la pale pour coopérer au cours d'une période de temps spécifique, comme les doigts d'engagement seuls (22a), avec la paroi support en aval afin de lever lesdites forces de cisaillement. Des contraintes de traction vont alors survenir dans la partie d'extrémité en aval (33) de la pale en sens travers. La présente invention concerne également une caisse de tête présentant ledit agencement de montage per se dans lequel la pale à l'intérieur et en aval de la zone intérieure (35) de la partie d'extrémité en amont (21) de la pale est agencée pour bouger librement en sens machine par rapport à ladite paroi support en aval au cours desdites périodes de temps.
