For injection molding of tooth brushes a mold with two relatively movable mold parts (10, 12) defining a mold cavity (14) is used. One of the mold parts (10) has tuft insertion holes (16) therein. After tufts of bristles (18) have been introduced into the tuft insertion holes (16) so that they have an end projecting into the cavity portion (14a), the projecting bristle ends are exposed to heat to form individual knobs of molten bristle material at the end of each tuft. The mold is closed and plasticized molding material is injected into the cavity and around the knobs of molten bristle material. To prevent the bristles of thus embedded tufts from spreading open, the tufts with the knobs formed on their inner ends are pushed deeper into the molded material, simultaneously preventing plasticized molding material from leaking out of the cavity.
Moule destiné au moulage par injection de brosses à dents, comportant deux parties (10, 12) mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre et délimitant une cavité (14) de moule. L'une de ces parties (10) présente des trous (16) d'insertion de touffes de soies. Après introduction de ces touffes de soies (18) dans lesdits trous (16), afin qu'une des extrémités de celles-ci s'étende dans la portion (14a) de cavité, on expose à la chaleur cette extrémité pour que se forme une boule de soies fondues sur ladite extrémité de chaque touffe. Le moule est fermé et on injecte du matériau de moulage plastifié dans la cavité ainsi qu'autour des boules de soies fondues. Afin d'empêcher les soies des touffes ainsi enfermées de se séparer en s'ouvrant, les touffes ainsi que les boules formées sur les extrémités intérieures de celles-ci sont poussées plus profondément dans le matériau moulé, le matériau de moulage plastifié ne pouvant s'écouler hors de la cavité.
