The present invention relates to methods of making applicators for inserting materials into body cavities. The appli- cators comprise a tubular insertion member (10) having an insertion end (20) and a gripper end (21) opposite thereof. The gripper end (21) has an indentation (62) with a shoulder (60, 61) on each end of the indentation. The shoulder (61) most proximal the insertion end (20) provides resistance to finger slip during the step of inserting the applicator into a body cavity. Whereas the shoulder (60) most proximal the gripper end (21) provides resistance to finger slip during the step of expelling material substantially contained by the applicator. The shoulder (60) most proximal the gripper end also provides secure handling of the applicator while removing the applicator from the body after the expulsion step has been completed.
L'invention concerne des procédés de fabrication d'applicateurs utilisés pour insérer des matériaux dans des cavités corporelles, qui comprennent les éléments suivants: élément d'insertion tubulaire (10) à extrémité d'insertion (20) et extrémité de préhension (21) opposées. L'extrémité de préhension (21) comporte une zone à indentations (62) dont les deux côtés se terminent par une épaule (60, 61). L'épaule (61) la plus proche de l'extrémité d'insertion (20) assure une résistance au glissement des doigts durant l'insertion de l'applicateur dans une cavité corporelle. En revanche, l'épaule (60) la plus proche de l'extrémité de préhension (21) assure une résistance au glissement des doigts durant l'extraction de matériau sensiblement contenu dans l'applicateur. L'épaule (60) la plus proche de l'extrémité de préhension assure en outre une manipulation fiable de l'applicateur lors du retrait de cet applicateur hors du corps humain une fois l'extraction de matériau accomplie.
