A textile three-dimensional structure is formed by superposing felt layers and binding them together by needle bonding, then it is compressed so as to obtain a preform having a fibre volume ratio not less than 20 %. The preform is maintained in its compressed state by impregnating it with a liquid composition containing a binding agent for binding the preform fibres together. The resulting consolidated preform is densified for instance by chemical infiltration in vapour phase.
Une structure fibreuse tridimensionnelle est formée en superposant des couches de feutre et en les liant entre elles par aiguilletage, puis est comprimée de manière à obtenir une préforme ayant un taux volumique de fibres au moins égal à 20 %. La préforme est maintenue dans son état comprimé par imprégnation par une composition liquide contenant un agent de liaison capable de lier les fibres de la préforme entre elles. La préforme ainsi consolidée est ensuite densifiée par exemple par infiltration chimique en phase vapeur.
