The present invention relates generally to a method of modulating the proinflammatory activity of C-reactive protein in endothelial cells. More particularly, the present invention relates to down-regulation of proinflammatory activity of C-reactive protein in vascular endothelial cells. Accordingly, the method of the present invention is useful, inter alia, in the treatment and/or prophylaxis of inflammatory conditions, particularly conditions characterised by proinflammatory activity of C-reactive protein in endothelial cells.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de modulation de l'activité pro-inflammatoire de la protéine C-réactive dans des cellules endothéliales. Plus précisément, l'invention se rapporte à la régulation négative de l'activité pro-inflammatoire de la protéine C-réactive dans des cellules endothéliales vasculaires. Par conséquent, ce procédé est utile, entre autre, au traitement et/ou la prophylaxie de conditions inflammatoires, notamment des conditions caractérisées par l'activité pro-inflammatoire de la protéine C-réactive des cellules endothéliales.
