The method and apparatus of the present invention converts a geographically dispersed collection of transceivers into an organized packet switched network with greater utilization of each transceiver and a significant reduction in the number of central control sites as well as the elimination of a substantial number of the ground-based communication links between central control sites and their hierarchically senior data collection elements. This is accomplished by the implementation of virtual waveguides that represent deterministic data communication highways through the plurality of radio transceivers to transmit data from various sources to identified destinations.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour transformer un ensemble d'émetteurs-récepteurs géographiquement dispersés en un réseau organisé de commutation de paquets, avec une meilleure utilisation de chaque émetteur-récepteur et une réduction significative du nombre des sites de commande centraux. Ce procédé permet également de supprimer un nombre important de liaisons de communication installées au sol entre les sites de commande centraux et leurs éléments de collecte de données les plus significatives par ordre hiérarchique. Cela est réalisé par la mise en place de guides d'ondes virtuelles qui représentent des canaux de communication de données déterministes par une pluralité d'émetteurs-récepteurs radio pour transmettre des données provenant de diverses sources à des destinations identifiées.
