A method of playing a wagering card game in which a dealer and a plurality of players participate in a Blackjack-type card game, wherein each player places an ante wager consistent with the table minimum to start the game. Each player then places a wager equal to the table minimum in a colored box unique to that player on the gaming tabletop. The dealer then deals the cards as in normal Blackjack, starting with the player who has the dealer button in front of him. This button rotates after each hand. Players play their hands against the house's hand. In accordance with the method of playing the game, the house does not pay winning bets at a conclusion of each hand, but if a player's hand beats the house's hand, then that player's token is moved upwardly one space for each bet won, wherein the first person to reach, in a preferred embodiment, seven wins is the winner of an accumulated jackpot. If a player loses the hand to the house, then the dealer takes the player's wager and adds it to the pot, and also moves the player's token downward one space toward the start area. Each lost wager moves the player's token down one. If a player's hand pushes with the house's hand, the player's token does not move (neither up nor down). Players may double down at any time and may split cards of equal value, including aces, up to seven times.
