A method for preparing an unsaturated ester synthesis catalyst wherein a catalytic carrier is impregnated with a water-soluble palladium salt and a water-soluble gold compound followed by precipitating the water-soluble palladium salt and the water-soluble gold compound to water-insoluble palladium and gold compounds with a fixing composition containing an alkali metal borate. The fixed palladium and gold compounds are reduced to palladium and gold metal with ethylene or hydrazine followed by impregnating the carrier with an alkali metal acetate such as potassium acetate. The unsaturated ester synthesis catalyst can be employed to synthesize vinyl acetate with reduced heavy ends.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un catalyseur de synthèse d'ester insaturé, qui consiste à imprégner un support de catalyseur d'un sel de palladium hydrosoluble et d'un composé d'or hydrosoluble et à précipiter le sel de palladium et le composé d'or hydrosolubles de manière que des composés de palladium et d'or insolubles dans l'eau soient produits avec une composition fixatrice contenant un borate de métal alcalin. Les composés de palladium et d'or sont ensuite réduits en palladium et métal d'or avec de l'éthylène ou de l'hydrazine, puis le support est imprégné d'un acétate de métal alcalin tel que de l'acétate de potassium. le catalyseur de synthèse d'ester insaturé peut être utilisé pour la synthèse d'acétate de vinyle à extrémités lourdes réduites.
